Ulster Unionist Culture, Arts & Leisure spokesperson, Robin Swann MLA has encouraged the public to ring in the opening of the London 2012 Olympics by taking part in the All The Bells celebration on Friday.
Robin said:
“On Friday (27th July) at 8.12am Big Ben will begin to chime and will continue for three minutes to herald the beginning of the first day of the Games in London. The bells at the National Assembly in Wales, the Scottish Parliament and in here at Stormont will also ring in unison with Big Ben.’
“All The Bells provides every community in the United Kingdom to take part in the London 2012 Festival. I would encourage the public to take the opportunity to be part of this celebration of the opening day of the Games.’
