Hussey welcomes Police investigation into allegations of corruption

Ulster Unionist Policing spokesperson Ross Hussey has welcomed the Police investigation into allegations of corruption involving a number of officers in Cookstown, County Tyrone.

The West Tyrone MLA said:

“The Ulster Unionist Party welcomes the ongoing Police investigation into allegations of corruption in County Tyrone, as a result of which two officers have been arrested and a further five moved to other duties.

The investigation must be allowed to take its course. I am confident that the Police will investigate the matter thoroughly and maintain the high levels of public confidence and trust which the PSNI enjoys as it seeks to serve and protect all the citizens of Northern Ireland.”
