Swann hails Northern Ireland Paralympic Gold medal winners

Ulster Unionist sports spokesperson Robin Swann has hailed the outstanding performances by Northern Ireland athletes at the Paralympics in London this weekend which delivered three gold medals.


Mr Swann said:


"On Friday Northern Ireland celebrated gold medal success for Bethany Firth in the 100m backstroke and on Saturday we witnessed two more gold medal winning performances, this time on the track, from Jason Smyth in the 100 metres and Michael McKillop in the 800 metres with both athletes setting new world records in the process.


These are truly inspirational individuals and the whole of Northern Ireland is delighted to share in their tremendous success."
