Sinn Fein should call off Padraic Wilson protest - Elliott

Ulster Unionist Justice Spokesperson, Tom Elliott MLA has called on Sinn Fein not to go ahead with a planned protest in Belfast today calling for the release of Padraic Wilson.

Mr Elliott said: “It is disgraceful that Sinn Fein is planning to hold a protest today in Belfast for the release of a prisoner given that Party is now supposed to be supporting law and order.”

“It appears that Sinn Fein want justice when it suits them but not for their own people."

“Given the events of recent days it is totally inappropriate and insensitive of Sinn Fein to go ahead with this protest against the PSNI. They should do at least one decent thing and call it off.”
