Ulster Unionists host successful Business Breakfast in Coleraine

The East Londonderry Ulster Association held a very successful business breakfast at the Lodge Hotel in Coleraine last Friday (2nd November).

Keynote speakers for the breakfast included the Party Leader Mike Nesbitt MLA along with Jim Nicholson MEP, Lord Empey and Economy spokesperson Basil McCrea MLA who highlighted the work being undertaken by the Ulster Unionist Party to promote Northern Ireland at local Council, Stormont, Westminster and Europe.

A number of key businesses from around the constituency were represented including the Causeway and Roe Valley Chambers of Commerce.

Cllr Edwin Stevenson (Limavady Borough Council) East Londonderry Ulster Unionist Association Chairman welcomed everyone to the breakfast.

“We believe in engagement and delivering for people. Small businesses are at the heart of our local economy and now more than ever they need support and help. We need common sense at the heart of our government and the only party able to deliver that is the Ulster Unionist Party.”

A number of key issues were touched upon by the speakers including tackling unemployment, relationship between business and government and the support on offer to business from all levels of government.

After the event, Coleraine Ulster Unionist Councillor David Harding said “I am optimistic about the future prosperity of the north coast area. We have great local businesses and a keen and committed workforce and I am confident that the policies of the Ulster Unionist Party will encourage businesses to grow and create more jobs for local people.”
