Kinahan Condemns Antrim Pipe Bomb Attack

Ulster Unionist MLA, Danny Kinahan has condemned those who left a pipe bomb outside the home of a Polish family in Antrim.

The South Antrim Assembly Member commented;

“I am totally disgusted by this attack on this young couple.  I have been told by neighbours that the couple are held with high regard in the local community and there is clearly a lot of anger here that they have been targeted.’

“Those who chose to plant this pipe bomb did so without any regard for human life.  Had it detonated it could have killed or seriously injured not just the people living inside the house but also any passers by.’

“We cannot allow these tensions to escalate in the town and I would call on the local community to pull together and ensure these people do not succeed in dividing our society."
