Ulster Unionists congratulate PSNI after they foiled Londonderry bomb plot

Ronnie McKeegan, Chairman of the Ulster Unionist Party Association in Foyle, has condemned those responsible for the attempted bomb attack in Londonderry last night.

Ronnie said:

“The viable explosive device was discovered in a car stopped by the police in the Westway area. If the bomb had reached its destination I dread to think of what the consequences would have been.  I would like to congratulate the PSNI for their prompt actions in the city which undoubtedly saved lives and property from being destroyed.’

“I hope that the PSNI receive the support and evidence they need to bring to justice those terrorists who still want to take us back to those dark days of our past.’
