Ulster Unionist Chief Whip Robin Swann has condemned the death threat issued against the SDLP’s South Belfast representative Conal McDevitt.
North Antrim representative Mr Swann said:
“On behalf of the Ulster Unionist Party I utterly condemn the death threat issued against Conal McDevitt just as we condemned the threats issued against the First Minister Rt. Hon. Peter Robinson MLA, Jeffrey Donaldson MP, Edwin Poots MLA and Naomi Long MP.
The Ulster Unionist Party deplore all and any violence and threat of violence against anyone in society. That applies equally to members of the public, their elected representatives or members of the security forces.”
