The Ulster Unionist Party’s North Antrim MLA Robin Swann has condemned the violent attack on two women which took place in Ballymena in the early hours of Tuesday morning,
Mr Swann said,
“I was shocked to learn that two women were subjected to a violent attack by a man with a baseball bat in the Larne Link Road area of Ballymena at around 2am on Tuesday morning.
I understand that the two women attacked were foreign nationals and that the Police are treating this as a hate crime.
Clearly the individual responsible is a danger to the public and must be stopped. I appeal to anyone with any information to come forward immediately and assist the Police.”
