Kennedy sponsors Stormont event to help Victims Group to launch new Project

Ulster Unionist MLA Danny Kennedy has sponsored an event at Stormont to enable the victims group – Justice for Innocent Victims of Terrorism (JIVT Ltd) – to launch its initiative “Pathways to Justice”

The Newry & Armagh representative said:

“Justice for Innocent Victims of Terrorism (JIVT Ltd) has been active for a number of years and I was delighted to sponsor their event at Stormont on Wednesday to launch their Pathways to Justice Project.

Speakers at the event represented the victims of some of the worst atrocities of the Troubles and I know that the new European Funding which JIVT have secured in order to deliver the “Pathways to Justice Initiative” will be put to very good use providing victims with advice as to how to seek justice.

It was wonderful to hear them deliver their message at Stormont and the large crowd of 100 people present were witness to some very moving stories.

I am already aware of the very valuable work and assistance provided to victims as a result of the work of this group and I warmly commend JIVT for carrying this important work forward, especially in my Newry and Armagh constituency.

I am extremely pleased that JIVT are to be based in Tandragee in my constituency and I can assure them of my full support in the endeavours to highlight the plight of the victims of terrorism.

The voices of the victims of terror must be heard.”
