Ulster Unionist Assembly Member for Mid-Ulster, Sandra Overend, has expressed her sympathy to the family of Moneymore man Henry Allen who died in a farm accident on Thursday.
Sandra stated,
‘I was greatly saddened to learn of the death of Henry Allen on Friday morning. This is a terrible tragedy and my sympathy goes out to Henry’s wife Yvonne, their children and the entire family.
‘I knew Henry through my work in the constituency, and his passing is a great loss to his family circle and the wider local rural community.
‘This is a busy time of year for farmers, and the change in weather brings its own demands and challenges in order to look after their animals. This tragedy serves as another sad reminder of the risks that farmers face in their profession on a daily basis.
‘I know that local people and indeed the entire farming community have been shocked by this tragedy, and all our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this difficult time.'
