Kinahan demands Price tells all she knows about Massereene murders

Ulster Unionist MLA Danny Kinahan has demanded Marian Price tell all she knows about the murders of two soldiers at Antrim’s Massereene barracks in 2009.

Mr Kinahan, who represents the South Antrim constituency in which the murders took place,  was speaking after Marian Price changed her plea to guilty in relation to providing property for the purposes of terrorism. He said:

“Marian Price must now reveal everything she knows about those involved in the cowardly attack on un-armed soldiers and a pizza delivery man at the gates of Massereene barracks on 07 March 2009.

“The murders of Sappers Mark Quinsey and Patrick Azimkar were a stain on Northern Ireland and the failure to bring those responsible to justice is a further stain.

“The dead men and their families are entitled to expect truth and justice and now that Marian Price has admitted to providing the phone used to claim responsibility for the murders, she must also tell the Police everything she knows about those responsible so that they can be brought to justice.

“We must never forget that this is a woman who was already out on licence as a result of the horrific crimes she committed when she planted a car bomb at the Old Bailey in London in 1973, killing one man and injuring more than 200 others.

“I trust now that those who were crying the loudest about the ‘injustice’ of her having her licence revoked will have the good grace to apologise and admit they were wrong.”
