North Antrim Ulster Unionist MLA Robin Swann has praised local firm Francis Dinsmore Ltd on news of expansion and possible job creation. The Kells based firm has announced a new deal with clothing brand Barbour and there are hopes that around 16 new jobs will be created.

Mr Swann, who is also the Chair of the Assembly’s Employment and Learning Committee, said:

“Kells based Francis Dinsmore Ltd announced on Wednesday morning that they have signed a deal with global clothing brand Barbour in a £1 million expansion which could see the creation of around 16 jobs.

“This is great news for the local community. The company’s Headquarters are based in the North Antrim village of Kells and they have been established in the Textile Industry for over 200 years.  This announcement continues to confirm North Antrim and the greater Ballymena area in as a primary location for manufacturing industries and investment."
