Elliott condemns attacks on former Quinn premises

Ulster Unionist MLA for Fermanagh & South Tyrone, Tom Elliott, has condemned those responsible for the latest attack on the former Quinn headquarters in Derrylin on Monday night, putting jobs and lives at risk in the process.

Tom said:

"This is the latest in a number of attacks which have been taking place for the past 3 years since the Aventas Group took over the business from Sean Quinn, and I understand that Mr Quinn himself has condemned attacks at his former properties.

"It has been suggested that the chief suspects for this campaign are all known members of the Republican movement from counties Leitrim, Cavan and Fermanagh. They are certainly not acting on behalf of the interests of the company by putting lives at risk, and they will achieve nothing by their warped campaign.

"The only agenda these crimninal have is to undermine and destabilise the business and cause further job losses in an area that requires further employment. I trust those responsible can be caught and brought before the courts."
