Kinahan Praises Moy Park success

Ulster Unionist economy spokesperson Danny Kinahan MLA has praised the success of local agri- food processors Moy Park on their latest expansion and jobs announcement.

Mr Kinahan said:

“By any standards this is a major expansion by Moy Park. 100 of the jobs announced are already in place, which means 528 new positions will become available across the 3 sites in Northern Ireland- Dungannon, Craigavon and Ballymena. New jobs mean more salaries and more money going into the local economy.

The story of Moy Park is one of a local firm growing from small beginnings to become part of a thriving international business.  Anyone not aware of how big Moy Park has become under its Brazilian owners Marfrig need only watch the World Cup- where the world’s best footballers are performing in front of advertising hoardings featuring Moy Park.  This is a great source of pride for Northern Ireland, and today’s announcement is a tremendous boost for the local economy.”
