Ulster Unionist economy spokesperson Danny Kinahan MLA has welcomed news that a US law firm is setting up a office in Belfast with a view to recruiting around 250 staff.
Mr Kinahan said:
“Invest NI have provided a generous grant of over £1M to help attract Baker & McKenzie to Belfast. That investment of public money will be well worth it when the jobs announced are fully in place, and the salaries provided start being spent in the local economy.
“I note that the firm intends securing Belfast premises and to start recruiting staff next month with the promise of a workforce of legal and administrative staff of ‘between 200 and 250’ after 3 years of operation.
This is very welcome news for Northern Ireland PLC.”
