Cree goes back to college

At a recent visit to South Eastern Regional College (SERC) North Down Ulster Unionist Leslie Cree MLA met with Kenn Webb, Director and joined him on a tour of the campus.

Speaking of his visit Leslie commented, “I was made very welcome by staff and students as I was taken on a tour of the building and was able to observe teaching methods in the Media Suite, Hairdressing and Beauty Departments and speak to the students about their course work in each section. I was impressed by  the obvious feedback of enthusiasm and dedication from the students in each of the classes I visited.”

South Eastern Regional College provides high quality and innovative services to over 30,000 learners utilising 1055 experienced staff and specialist facilities.  Services include Further and Higher Education courses, apprenticeships, professional development training, community education, online learning, tailored training for businesses, support for SME’s Technology Transfer and IT solutions.

In summing up his experience of being back to college for the day Leslie stated, “I am very impressed at the overall standard the services provided in SERC and I am proud to acknowledge that Ken and his team have achieved the accolade of being the only college in Northern Ireland to have 5 Centres of Excellence. “
