Ulster Unionist Policing Board Member and West Tyrone MLA, Ross Hussey has unreservedly condemned the cowardly gun attack on a house in McClay Park in Omagh on Thursday night.
Mr Hussey said:
“This was a despicable and cowardly attack. The New Year is all about peace and goodwill, but the perpetrators of this attack know nothing of either.
“My understanding is that several shots were fired at the house and seven people were in the house at the time. Fortunately nobody was seriously injured. However this house is in a large housing estate. Many of the families living in this estate and the surrounding estates have had connections with the area since the houses were built, so we have young families and older residents living here.
“I would urge anyone who has any information on this attack to contact the PSNI on 101.”
