Ulster Unionist Leader, Mike Nesbitt MLA, has expressed his shock and outrage at the murderous terrorist attack at the Paris-based satirical magazine, Charlie Hebdo.
Mr Nesbitt said:
“As a former journalist, and a politician, I condemn utterly this attack on democracy.
“We must unite in standing by the principle of freedom of speech. Satirical cartoons are part and parcel of a free press.
“I condemn the attack without reservation and welcome comments from those Muslims who have taken to social media to make clear this was not done in their name.”
