Kinahan hails Randox expansion

South Antrim MLA and Ulster Unionist Party economy spokesperson Danny Kinahan has hailed the announcement of a major investment at Randox, the Crumlin headquartered international clinical diagnostics company.

 Mr Kinahan said:

“The announcement of the new Randox Science Park in Antrim is a massive boost for the local economy. The story of Randox, which started off just over 30 years ago in an agricultural outhouse in the County Antrim countryside near Crumlin, is one of great success and growth into a major global company.  Managing Director Dr Peter FitzGerald deserves the highest praise.

“This shows that Northern Ireland based companies can succeed on the world stage, and lead the way in innovative technologies.  I am also delighted to see Invest Northern Ireland investing in world class local business.

“It is also fitting that the Massereene Army barracks is being re used in such a positive manner.  The investment and ensuing jobs with be of lasting benefit to all the people of Antrim and much further afield.”
