Ross Hussey, Ulster Unionist Party Regional Development spokesperson, has called on the Finance Minister, Simon Hamilton, to stop ducking issues.
Mr Hussey said:
“There is a memorandum of understanding between DFP and NI Water on financial issues. Any deal here needs to have approval from Simon Hamilton’s Department – it’s difficult to achieve this when he continues to stonewall over the issue.
“If any Minister should be mediating in these ongoing negotiations it should be Simon Hamilton.
“While Simon may be struggling with some difficult choices when it comes to Government finances, that shouldn’t excuse his apparent struggle with the easy ones too.”
