Ulster Unionist Leader Mike Nesbitt MLA has called on Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster to issue a public apology to Danny Kinahan following her ill-tempered outburst at Question Time today.
Mr Nesbitt said:
“I was appalled at the way in which the Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster let rip at Danny Kinahan at Assembly Questions today without first bothering to check why Danny had been absent from the Chamber for this morning’s Statement on the Review of the Tourist Board.
“I would hope that the Minister’s aggressive attitude might have been slightly tempered had she known that Danny Kinahan was at the funeral of Anna Graham, who passed away at the weekend less than two months after the death of her husband Norman. They were of course the parents of the late Edgar Graham, an Ulster Unionist Assembly member murdered by the IRA in cold blood in 1983.
“I call on Arlene Foster to issue a public apology to Danny Kinahan for her ill-tempered outburst. It did her no credit whatsoever.”
