Councillor Sonia Copeland condemns East Belfast paint bomb attack

Ulster Unionist Councillor, Sonia Copeland has called on those responsible for a paint bomb attack in East Belfast on Tuesday night to cease their activity immediately.

Councillor Copeland said:

“I am disgusted that a number of houses in the Newtownards Road/Pitt Park area were targeted last night with paint bombs.

“There is no place in our society for those who seek to raise tensions in interface areas and I would urge those responsible for last night’s attack to cease this activity immediately.  It only serves to cause distress to those residents affected who simply want to be able to go about their daily lives in peace.

“The PSNI have been contacted and I will be speaking with them and visiting residents in the area this afternoon.”
