Kinahan submits Westminster nomination papers to Electoral Office

South Antrim Ulster Unionist MLA Danny Kinahan has submitted his nomination papers to the Electoral Commission as he prepares to stand as his Party’s Westminster candidate for his home constituency.

Mr Kinahan said:

"I am thrilled at the opportunity to submit my nomination papers to represent the very special people of South Antrim at Westminster. I thank the Party for having selected me to stand as the Ulster Unionist candidate."

"This election is an opportunity to put a citizen of South Antrim in the House of Commons to represent our interests and to fight Northern Ireland’s corner in the Mother of Parliaments.

“I am certain the people of South Antrim will choose the right person for the job and I am standing because I believe I am the right person for the job. Particularly as it will be my only job. I promise the electorate that I will commit myself completely to representing South Antrim at Westminster in exactly the same manner as I have in the Assembly. If elected, I will be an MP who represents everyone in South Antrim at Westminster, regardless of background or political belief. It is a challenge which I relish and a duty I cannot wait to take on."
