Cllr Copeland disappointed at Bombardier announcement

Ulster Unionist Councillor, Sonia Copeland, has expressed her disappointment at an announcement that over 200 jobs are set to go at the Bombardier plant in Belfast.

Councillor Copeland said:

“This is extremely disappointing news. My thoughts are with the staff of Bombardier today who are now thrust into uncertainty.

“I will be requesting a meeting with the Vice-President of Bombardier to discuss this announcement and what can be done to mitigate the impact to staff in Northern Ireland.

“It is important that staff receive support over the next number of weeks and months, and are kept fully informed of any developments.
