Kinahan welcomes co-option of Alderman Adrian Cochrane-Watson to the NI Assembly

Danny Kinahan MP has welcomed the announcement that Alderman Adrian Cochrane-Watson will be co-opted to replace him in the Northern Ireland Assembly.

The news comes as Danny honours his commitment to step down from the Assembly as soon as possible if elected to Westminster.

Mr Kinahan said:

“Adrian has been a long serving member of the Party and of the Council in Antrim and I look forward to working with him as he steps into his new role as an MLA.  We both believe in public service and I’m sure he will hit the ground running at the Assembly.

“This is the first time in many years that the Ulster Unionist Party has had representatives at every level of Government in South Antrim and I look forward to us working together to make sure the people of the constituency feel the full benefit of this.”
