Danny Kennedy, Ulster Unionist MLA for Newry & Armagh, has condemned an attack this evening on victims campaigner William Frazer at his home just outside Markethill.
Mr Kennedy said:
"I am horrified to hear that someone would call at William Frazer's front door and physically assault him. It is a cowardly and despicable thing to do. I have been in contact with close members of his family to express my concern at the incident, and to wish William a full and speedy recovery.
"This incident, involving as it does the personal safety of a high profile individual requires urgent and full investigation, and I am also aware that the family are very unhappy at the slow PSNI response in attending the scene. I will be raising this matter with senior Police representatives as soon as possible.”
