Ulster Unionists condemn graffiti attack at Orange Hall

Ulster Unionist MLA Neil Somerville, along with colleagues Tom Elliott MP and Councillor Robert Mulligan have condemned today’s graffiti attack on Timpany LOL 889 between Fivemiletown and Clogher.

 Neil Somerville the new MLA for Fermanagh and South Tyrone said;

 “This is the third time that Timpany Orange Hall has been targeted in recent years, and I condemn this attack whole-heartedly. It is pure sectarianism and I join with my Ulster Unionist colleagues in condemning this hate crime.”

 Tom Elliott MP said;

 “It is extremely disappointing to see yet another attack on Orange culture in Northern Ireland. This hall has, in recent years, received up to £10,000 in funding for upgrades and renovations which were badly needed. I would hope that condemnation from all political parties will make clear to those responsible that this sort of behaviour will not be tolerated.”

 Clogher Valley DEA Councillor, Robert Mulligan said;

 “After investing so much time and effort into renovating this hall, it is sad to see the heartless and quite frankly disgusting graffiti which has been daubed on the hall to increase community tensions.”
