Tom Elliott MP has challenged Stephen Farry and the Alliance Party to tell the public what action they are going to take against Sinn Fein following an IRA murder in Belfast two weeks ago, instead of sitting on their hands.
Tom Elliott MP said:
“These are the typically pathetic words from Stephen Farry. What are they going to do about the fact that the IRA murdered a man on the streets of Belfast or the fact that the IRA continues to operate with a command structure despite the hollow denials from Sinn Fein?
“The Alliance Party hold the Justice Ministry – the Justice Minister has been practically invisible. It`s time for the Alliance Party and others to step up to the plate and tell us what action they are going to take about the continued denials from Sinn Fein which run completely contrary to the facts.
“Are the Alliance Party going to take a principled stand against the IRA and other criminals? We`ll take no lectures about political opportunism from a party that holds two Ministerial seats when their electoral support only entitles them to one.”
