Taylor condemns desecration of Wreaths at Narrow Water Massacre Site

Ulster Unionist Councillor David Taylor has condemned the desecration of wreaths placed at the site of the Narrow Water Massacre.

Councillor Taylor said:

“I am extremely angry to learn of the horrific desecration of wreaths placed at the Narrow Water Massacre site.  Only last week, both I and my Party Colleague Councillor Harold McKee, took the opportunity to commemorate the victims of the massacre on the 36th Anniversary of the incident which resulted in 18 soldiers being cruelly murdered by Republican terrorists.

“The desecration of the wreaths placed at the site is a sickening and vile act.  The individuals involved in perpetrating this crime really are pathetic and rotten to the core and it is abundantly clear they have nothing to offer to any civilised society.

“I would appeal to anyone with information in relation to this incident to report it immediately to the PSNI.  It is my sincere hope that the individuals who carried out this attack will be apprehended and burdened with a heavy punishment for their evil actions.”
