Ulster Unionist Leader Mike Nesbitt MLA has welcomed Prime Minister David Cameron’s conference speech commitment to end what he described as 'passive tolerance' of extremism.
Mike Nesbitt said:
"This is exactly what we need in Northern Ireland in terms of the continuing presence of paramilitary organisations. Too many turn a blind eye to this blight which affects large swathes of our society through community control and organised criminality.
“The Stormont House talks participants should also commit to an end to passive tolerance.”
