Dobson condemns double Banbridge incendiary device attack

Ulster Unionist MLA for Upper Bann Jo-Anne Dobson has condemned those who left two ‘viable incendiary devices’ under two separate vehicles in Larchwood Court in Banbridge in the early hours of this morning.

Mrs Dobson said:

“Because of the callous disregard for life shown by those responsible, there could have been a very different scene in Banbridge this morning.

“As I understand it, one of the devices contained flammable liquid which caught fire causing damage to a vehicle around 3am this morning.  Sadly, this is not the first time we have seen a vehicle set alight close to someone’s home in the town and I roundly condemn those responsible. The people of Banbridge do not want this.

“I would encourage anyone who may have information which would help the PSNI to identify those responsible to contact the police.  This type of activity must stop immediately before we are dealing with a fatality.”
