Danny Kinahan MP has said that no amount of DUP bluster will hide their abdication of responsibility following the surrender of Welfare powers to Westminster.
Danny Kinahan MP said:
“It is clear that the DUP are somewhat sensitive to criticism for having handed the power to legislate for Welfare Reform back to Westminster. It is confirmation for all to see of the abject failure of the Sinn Fein/DUP coalition's ability to take decisions.
“It was apparent from the bluster we heard from DUP MPs in the Commons that their abdication of responsibility is a raw nerve.
"Not content with shifting responsibility, they are now attempting to shift the blame. They accuse others of wanting to wreck devolution, whilst it is they who actually diminish it by surrendering the powers for Welfare Reform back to London because they and their Sinn Fein partners can't make tough decisions."
