Councillor Sonia Copeland has called on the DETI Minister Jonathan Bell to outline what he intends to do to prevent further job losses in the manufacturing industry.
Councillor Copeland said:
“This latest announcement from Bombardier will devastate those directly affected and also the wider community in East Belfast. These are people who have seen the industries that once formed the heart of their community fade away one by one. Something has to be done.
“These are people’s lives we are dealing with here. People are wondering what they are going to do now. We need to hear from Jonathan Bell about what he intends to do to turn the tide of job losses we have seen in the manufacturing industry.”
