Chief Constable should be given every resource he needs to pursue terrorists who attacked Adrian Ismay

Ross Hussey MLA, Ulster Unionist Policing spokesperson, and Danny Kennedy MLA, Ulster Unionist Justice spokesperson, have called for Prison Officers to be allowed to go about their work unhindered and for the Chief Constable to be given every resource he needs to bring to justice the terrorists who attacked Adrian Ismay.

Ross Hussey MLA said:

“There are bound to be individuals out there who know who the people are who are responsible for this barbaric crime. I would ask them to examine their consciences and come forward and speak to the police before more pain is visited upon another family. The police need the community`s full support in tracking down the terrorists who attacked Adrian Ismay and I hope that the Chief Constable will be given every resource he needs to ensure these people are brought to justice and put behind bars.”

Danny Kennedy said:

“This is too high a price for any family to pay.  Members of the Prison Service should be allowed to go about their work unhindered. It reminds us of the dangers still faced by Prison Officers. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and colleagues of Adrian Ismay.”
