Ulster Unionist MEP Jim Nicholson has expressed his condolences to the families of the innocent victims killed and injured in the attacks in Brussels this morning.
Mr Nicholson said:
"In the European Parliament this morning we held a minute's silence to pay our respects to those killed and injured in today's attacks at the airport. Shortly after, news broke that underground Metro stations near the EU institutions have also been attacked.
"No political or religious cause can justify such terror.
"My thoughts and prayers are with the innocent victims and their families."
