Ulster Unionist Leader, Mike Nesbitt, says the DSD decision to scrap the Northside development plans is just another example of the inability of a DUP / Sinn Féin led government to deliver on its promises.
Mike said:
"They promised 5,000 jobs with a £300 million investment in the old Maze prison site, but delivered little more than a car park. They promised our brave emergency services the best training facilities in the world at Desertcreat outside Cookstown, but delivered a green field. Now the £300 million development to regenerate the north side of Belfast City Centre has been scrapped. Goodness knows what Ulster University are thinking, given their commitment to regenerate that area of our capital.
"The only thing the DUP and Sinn Féin can develop is a reputation for failure."
