“The Northern Ireland Policing Board is currently looking for 237 Independent Members for their new Policing and Community Partnerships.  This is a fantastic opportunity for local voices to be heard on issues that are directly effecting them and their local community.’

“The PCSPs will be established in each of Northern Ireland’s 26 council areas and will work to make people feel safer and provide a direct link between local communities and our police force.’

“A number of information evenings are being held across the country and I would encourage anyone who is passionate about their local community and policing issues to make sure they attend to learn more about the role of an Independent Member and how they can apply to become one.’

The information evenings will take place between 7-9pm at the following venues

-       Thursday 12th January: Ballymena Leisure Centre.
-       Monday 16th January: Newtownards Town Hall.
-       Tuesday 17th January: Dungannon Bank House Hotel.
-       Thursday 19th January: Banbridge Belmont Hotel.
-       Monday 23rd January: Belfast City Hall
-       Tuesday 24th January: Derry City Council Offices.
