Ulster Women’s Unionist Council to Hold Centenary Thanksgiving Service

The Ulster Women’s Unionist Council (UWUC) will be bringing their centenary celebrations to a close with a Thanksgiving Service at St Patrick’s Church of Ireland Cathedral, Armagh on Sunday 29 January.  The service will commence at 3.15pm and the Council extend an open and warm invitation to all who wish to attend.

Ulster Unionist MLA Jo-Anne Dobson, a member of the Council, said

“This is a very fitting way to bring our year of Centenary celebrations to a close.  The Women’s Council has been an outlet for the political talents of hundreds of thousands of Unionist women since its formation in January 1911 and continues to promote Unionism through the hard work and dedication of its members.

“I am very much looking forward to the service and to meeting with people to recognise and celebrate the achievements of the past and at the same time looking towards rising to meet the new challenges of the future.”
