When will the Department for Stating the Obvious actually provide a plan? - Steve Aiken OBE MLA

Ulster Unionist Economy spokesperson, Steve Aiken OBE MLA, has said the areas of concern outlined in a letter from the First and deputy First Ministers to the Prime Minister ahead of Article 50 being triggered all existed before the referendum.

Steve Aiken OBE MLA said:

“I’m astonished the First Ministers would have the audacity to release this letter.  These are all concerns that existed before the referendum.

“Indeed given the content of the letter I would question whether this is a DUP u-turn on their position on the referendum after the vote has taken place?

“It is about time the Executive came forward with real plans for dealing with Brexit.  Instead of providing clarity and solutions, the Executive Office is quickly becoming the Department for Stating the Obvious.”
