Ulster Unionist MP Tom Elliott has congratulated the Castlecaulfield Horticultural Society after they were crowned Ulster in Bloom winners of 2016.
Mr Elliott said;
"This is a tremendous achievement for every member of the Castlecaulfield Horticultural Society. Their hard work was evident right the way throughout the competition and I'm pleased to see they are victorious. I look forward to hearing the Britain in Bloom results which are due in October, and hope Castlecaulfield repeats its success thus far.
Rosemary Barton MLA also commented;
"All the members of the Castlecaulfield Horticultural Society have worked very hard over the past number of months. They had risen above the petty vandalism that took place in July and bounced back once again to win the Ulster in Bloom title. My congratulations go to each and every member of the group.
Ulster Unionist Councillor Robert Mulligan added:
"I am very pleased to hear of the news that Castlecaulfield village has won Ulster in Bloom for 2016. The village Horticultural displays are stunning, and the dedication of all the members is clear. The Mid Ulster Council must also be thanked for their assistance in clearing up the vandalism that occurred earlier in the year."
