North Antrim Ulster Unionist MLA Robin Swann has warmly welcomed news that the Wright Group is set to acquire the Lisnafillan site of JTI/ Gallahers in Ballymena.
Robin Swann MLA said:
“I warmly welcome the news that the Wright Group is set to acquire the substantial JTI site at Lisnafillan in Ballymena. This could provide a potential jobs lifeline for the hard-hit constituency of North Antrim.
“The Wright Group, already has substantial operations in Ballymena, and I sincerely hope that additional manufacturing jobs can be created on the new site.
“My constituency has been hit very hard in recent years with significant job losses, but hopefully with this news from the Wright Group, North Antrim has finally turned the corner and the local economy will start to recover and grow again.”
