Ulster Unionists meet Prime Minister

The Ulster Unionist Party Leader, Mike Nesbitt MLA, met the Prime Minister, Theresa May MP, in Westminster today. He was accompanied by Danny Kinahan MP, Tom Elliott MP and Lord Empey.

Following the meeting, Mr Nesbitt said:

"We discussed the economy and the Ulster Unionist Party's Brexit document. I also raised legacy issues including mental health and wellbeing. I invited the Prime Minister to speak on mental health the next time she visits Northern Ireland.

"We met a number of Government Ministers and received a universally warm welcome. There is clearly an appetite to understand the specific issues facing Northern Ireland and our visit was considered timely and informative.”
