Foster, Dodds and DUP strawmen should apologise to RHI whistle-blower

Philip Smith MLA, Ulster Unionist Finance spokesperson, said:

“It is now clear that, despite firm denials from the DUP, Arlene Foster did actually receive written warning of the RHI scandal in 2013. The revelation that an email warning about the RHI scandal was sent directly to Arlene Foster runs counter to everything that the DUP have said so far about the whistle-blower. This is yet another serious blow to the credibility of Arlene Foster and anything she and her colleagues say in relation to the RHI.

“The whistle-blower`s email demonstrates that the DUP Leader and her acolytes have been at best inaccurate with the information which they have put in the public domain.

“For that reason Mrs Foster, Nigel Dodds MP and other DUP strawmen, like David Simpson MP, should swallow their pride, have some humility and apologise to the whistle-blower for the comments they made last week whenever they published one of the whistle-blower`s emails without their consent. The DUP have been found out. It is now clear that after retrieving an email from the bowels of DETI, the DUP hurtled into a reckless operation to protect Arlene Foster at all costs and it didn`t matter who stood in the way.”
