Copeland condemns racist attack on East Belfast family

East Belfast MLA, Michael Copeland has condemned a racist attack on a family in the Dundonald area.

The Ulster Unionist said:

“This is a shameful attack that could have easily ended with a child being seriously injured.  The local community has been left shocked by this disgraceful attack on a well liked and respected family.’

“This type of behaviour is not welcome in east Belfast and I hope that those responsible can be apprehended quickly.   I would urge anyone with any information to pass it onto the PSNI immediately.   The thugs who attacked the Awoyelu family will not succeed in their attempts to divide our community.’
