Swann condemns Ballymoney petrol bomb attack

Ulster Unionist North Antrim MLA Robin Swann has expressed his utter condemnation of the petrol bomb attack which took place in Ballymoney in the early hours of today (Tuesday).

Mr Swann said;

“I was horrified to learn that a petrol bomb was thrown at a house in the Conogher Road area of Ballymoney in the early hours of this morning.

There is no excuse or reason whatsoever which can be advanced for this type of activity and whilst no-one was injured on this occasion, a tragedy could have resulted.

The people of Ballymoney have no time for anyone who would seek to carry out this type of attack. They want to live in peace with their neighbours and free from attack and the fear of attack.

The Police have appealed for assistance from the public and I too would urge anyone who can assist them in catching the person or persons responsible to come forward immediately.”
