Kennedy seeks action to tackle rural crime in Newry & Armagh

Danny Kennedy MLA has called for more to be done to combat the problem of thefts of agricultural vehicles in Newry & Armagh.

The Ulster Unionist Assemblyman said;

“I have received representations from members of the farming community in the Newry & Armagh constituency who are greatly concerned at then high levels of theft of agricultural vehicles in the area.

The farming community has enough to contend with without having to live in fear of these criminals.

I have contacted the Minister of Justice and the Chief Constable to request that effective steps are taken to catch those responsible and to see confirmation that the local Police commanders have access to the resources they need to counter the actions of these criminals.”
