Ulster Unionist MLA Michael Copeland has condemned an attack on a house in east Belfast last night.
The East Belfast representative said;
“Last night at approximately 19:15 a group of people attacked a house in Foxglove Street in the Beersbridge Road area of east Belfast and terrorised the occupants - a young man and a young woman - who required hospital treatment.
I attended the scene shortly after the incident and met a number of local residents who were extremely concerned at what had happened.
I utterly condemn this incident and would appeal to anyone who saw anything or can assist the Police in any way to come forward immediately.”
