Ulster Unionist MEP Jim Nicholson met the Secretary of State, James Brokenshire MP, in Brussels today.
Speaking following the meeting, Jim Nicholson MEP said:
“I was very pleased to welcome the Secretary of State to the European Parliament. I had a very interesting meeting with James Brokenshire and we discussed many of the issues that affected Northern Ireland, especially Brexit.
"I expressed to him my concerns at the lack of Northern Ireland Executive representation in Brussels dealing with those issues, as all other devolved regions of the United Kingdom are actively represented.
"We had a useful, constructive meeting and I urged him to keep coming back to Brussels to put the Northern Ireland view."
