Ulster Unionists welcome City Hall investigation into Fransen video

The Deputy Lord Mayor of Belfast, Councillor Sonia Copeland, has welcomed the investigation that is taking place into an online video by Britain First’s Jayda Fransen in which she made a statement whilst dressed in Belfast City Council robes and sitting in the Lord Mayor’s chair.

Councillor Copeland said:

“Jayda Fransen’s actions were disrespectful to the office of Lord Mayor and to the City Council itself.

“This incident is rightly being investigated and steps must be taken to ensure there is no repetition.”
